Job Description

A pharmacist is needed urgently in a hospital in Lekki within Lagos state, Nigeria. The pharmacist would be involved in the following duties and/or as stipulated by the hospital management;

  • Checking and dispensing medication, compounding medication.
  • Communicating with physicians concerning prescriptions and other drug-related needs…
  • Providing patients with pharmaceutical information as the case may be.
  • Providing patients with health advice if need be
  • Explaining the proper use of medication
  • Supervising staff/pharmacy technicians on how best the pharmacy should be run.
  • Ensuring the compliance of the pharmacy to the standard governing agency guidelines..
  • Ensuring the up-to-date record of the pharmacy in terms of drugs and their dates of expiration…
  • Ensure that proper books are kept as directed by management…
  • Assist the hospital management in other work-related activities if required to do so
